About me
I am an artist whose interests are many and diverse. I find it interesting to experiment with new styles and explore new ways of creating artwork.

Today I study at the Academy of Music in Oslo, Norway, specializing on music composition and sound. I have written many solo pieces for classical instruments, some chamber works and music for bigger ensembles, such as sinfonietta and orchestra. I also make films, write electroacoustic music and have recently started writing sountracks to films directed by other people. Most of the time I write lyrics and music and perform my music as a singer/songwriter.

During the last three years I have been drawing a lot of minimalistic drawings that show a wondrous world full of ink-men with feathers on their heads. These people are the ink-faces, or "Blekkansiktene", as they are called in Norwegian. This world of creativity is something I have developed through the past years and is one of my main art projects as an artist.

One other activity I find interesting is the art of making jewelry. I collect stones from the nature, paint them and twirl them with metal thread, to make a very original design on my jewelry. I also use indian glass in different colors to create many colorful necklaces.

This page is meant to be a gallery that shows what artwork I do, and also remind you (as a viewer) about what artwork can do. By saying this, I mean that artwork can help people to make right choices and act ethical, especially when it comes to the situation of the world today.

I believe art can make most people more reflective because it expresses so much more than the "everyday news" you read in the newspapers of watch on TV. The art is original (does not repeat itself all the time), comes from an artists' inner engagement and speaks more direct to the audience when it is allowed to speak. Because of its originality and difference from what you see everyday, I think of art is a good channel to show people what is actually happening in the world today. A channel to express how the nature suffers from our regretful treatment, in what direction the world is developing and perhaps come up with sollutions for these (everlasting?) problems.

I hope that my artwork will give you experiences dissimilar to other things you have seen in their lives, and that some of my reflections and engagements makes you even more alive in you life here on earth. As I have written in my poem about human beings;

"I like when people burn

burn down
burn all the way

down
because
they burn for

something."

This is just some introductory words, so I suggest that you browse my website to find out more about who I am and what I do.
